Etho Metho, means Rhododendron in Dzongkha, the national language of Bhutan. The company founded in 1990 after the privatisation of the tourism industry in Bhutan is, one of the oldest and leading tour companies in the country. The company has been rated the No 1 company in the kingdom for the last 4 years in a row.

Etho Metho tours and treks ltd was established by three partners; Mrs Dago Beda, Mr Nim Gyaltsen and Mr Jochu Dorji, each of whom have over 20 years of experience with tourism in Bhutan. All three partners were officers in the Department of Tourism before the privatisation of the industry.

With a dedicated staff of about 55 people (including 15 guides, 5 trekking cooks, 15 drivers and operation staff), and our own transport fleet of 15 Toyota Coaster coaches and mini coaches in addition to cars and 4WD vehicles, we are well equipped to ensure that your visit to Bhutan is comfortable and memorable.
