Tourism policy of Bhutan

Inclusive Package Tours:
Visitors can travel to Bhutan only through all-inclusive package tours for which the tariff is set by the Royal Government of Bhutan. The government fixed tariff includes services of; accommodation, transport, guide, meals, entrances fees to monuments, sightseeing.

Reservations:
All tours must be booked through recognized Bhutanese Tour Operator such as Etho Metho and entire land arrangements provided by the same agent.

For all Cultural Tours, the booking must be completed 4 weeks in advance but for tours during festivals, 8 weeks advance information is required. Festivals held in autumn and spring are peak time for the tourists and without early reservations it can be difficult to confirm flights and hotels.

For trekking groups, it is important to do bookings at least 8 weeks in advance as it requires plenty of planning. Etho Metho can use its immense resources, built over the last 20 years to offer a choice of the finest trekking in the entire Himalayas.
